【Abstract】 Based on a vast amount of exploratory data obtained with bottom layer profiler in recent years, the change of sea level and the evolution of shallow strata at the Haizhou Bay since the Late Pleistocene are discussed in this paper. The recorded photographs which obviously show five boundary lines and six layers are in basic agreement with the results of drill hole analysis. This reflects eustasy having occurred many times and their stratofabric at the Bay. The sediments from the upper 20 meters of the Haizhou Bay Area are the products in the recent two eustasies since the Last Glacial Epoch. Further, the sediments of the postglacial period at Lianyungang are divided into four formations which correspond to four sedimentary stages.
