温梯法生长优质Nd:YAG激光晶体

【摘要】 Al2O3-Nd2O3-Y2O3三元系熔体是一种多组份的复合相平衡,尤其是 Nd离子的进入使得Al在YAG 结构中的四重配位不稳定,其结晶条件远不同于蓝宝石。考虑了 Nd:YAG单晶生长中可能出现的问题以及垂直凝固结晶法的工艺特点,我们对生长装置及发热体作了合理的设计,结合生长参数的选择以及原料的精心配制和处理,已经成功而稳定地生长出Nd浓度分布较均匀、光学完整性好、散射颗粒少及低位错密度的优质Nd:YAG激光晶体。

【Abstract】 The melt of Al2O3-Nd2O3-Y2O3 ternary system is a complex phase equilibrium involvingmany compounds,the doping of Nd leads to instability of the four-fold coordination ofaluminium in the YAG structure.Therefore, there is much difference between the crystalli-zation condition of YAG and that of sapphire.In consideration of the features in the growthof Nd:YAG crystals and the vertical solidification technique,a growing device and aheater have been appropriately designed, and in combination with the selection of growthparameters as well as careful preparation and treatment of starting materials,excellentNd2YAG laser single crystals with more homogeneous Nd dopants,good optical perfection,less scattering particles and low dislocation density have been stably grown with success.
