【Abstract】 The authors have found that 3-Hydroxypropyl Triphenylphosphonium lodide possesses anticancer activities for EAC-ESC, HSC, U₁4 and S₁80 of mice. Therefore, a series of its analogs were synthesized, and the relation between the molecular structure and anticancer activity was investigated. It is evident that the hydroxyl group and iodine possess anticancer activity. Activity of [ph₃p⁺CH（CH₂OH）₂]I- is highest in these compounds, the rate of inhibition for U₁4 of mice being 56.55%.
