【Abstract】 wen B.Suotilis DNA in dilute solution is γ-irradiated,strand-breaks are produced.The production of single-strand break wasdetermined in the PEG-DEX two phase system.Experimental results showthat the transforming activity of B.Subtilis DNA is predominantly inactiva-ted by single-strand breaks.The D₃₇is about 14 krads.It should be conclu-ded that the principal chemical event responsible for inactivation oftransforming DNA is the single-strand break.更多还原
