【Abstract】 Osteochondral grafts taken from 4-week old rabbits and preserved in fliquid nittogen for 4 weeks weretransplanted to the femoral articular cartilages in the knee joints of 34 mature rabbits. The viability of car-tilage grafts were examined by autoradiography (3~H-TDR ) before transplantation. The special method andmedium for the storage of the viable cartilage pieces was proved to be reliable. Studies were performed bylight microscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy at various intervals up to 18 months afteroperation. The cartilage grafts survived in the hosts, and there was no morphological evidence of immunerejection. This satisfactory result suggests a hopeful way to repair the injury of articular cartilage forathletes.更多还原
