电刺激大鼠中脑导水管周围灰质对针刺镇痛效应的影响
EFFECT OF ELECTRICAL STIMULATION OF MIDBRAIN PERIAQUEDUCTAL GRAY ON ACUPUNCTURE ANALGESIA IN RATS
【摘要】 本工作以刺激大鼠尾部引起的甩尾和嘶叫作为痛反应。假手术组痛反应阈值稳定。电针和刺激中脑导水管周围灰质(PAG)均能引起痛阈显著提高。电针加刺激 PAG 所引起痛阈增加值大于分别给予两种刺激的痛阈增值之和。
【Abstract】 The present study was aimed to further investigate the role of the midbrainperiaqueductal gray(PAG)in acupuncture analgesia.Tail-flick and screamingin response to electrical stimulation of the tail skin were taken as indices of painresponse.The present experiments consisted,of four groups:(1)surgical con-trol,(2)electro-acupuncture,(3)electrical stimuiation of PAG,and(4)stimula-tion of PAG introduced simultaneously with electro-acupuncture.The painthreshold in the first group was quite stable during 1h,but those of the othergroups increased significantly after electro-acupuncture and/or brain stimulation.The pain threshold of the fourth group was much greater than the summation ofthese of the second andthe third group.Moreover,the analgesia produced,inthose three experimental groups all showed an after-effect,although its durationvaried with each group:that Of the second group was about 15-25 min,of thethird,about 45-50min,and of the 4 th,about 1-2h.The regions of brainstimulated to produce analgesia were found to be located in the lateral and ven-trolateral portions of the caudal PAG.The present work indicates that thereis a synergic action between the analgesic effects produced by stimulation ofPAG and those byelectro-acupuncture.
