【Abstract】 Due to the world’s crude oil shortage, increasing attention has been paid to oil shale as a new source of energy. In this paper, the development of world’s oil shale industry in this decade is predicted.Some typical oil shale pyrolysis retorts are described. Among these are internal gas heating type retorts for processing oil shale lumps, and solid heat carrier heating type retorts for processing solid oil shale particles. Some new processes are also recommended.The laboratory research on oil shale in the recent years are also reviewed, including the formation of oil shale, structure and properties of kerogen, kinetics of pyrolysis, gasification and combustion of oil shale, analysis and processing of shale oil, as well as the comprehensive utilization of oil shale conversion products.更多还原
