【Abstract】 In the last twenty years were discovered many fossil insects in vari-ous localities of China,and the great majority of them,were obtained from the mesozoic and tetiary sediments,and a few insects,in Upper Pa-laeozoic,but fossil insects in Qnaternary have hitherto been unknown.The discovery of new genus,Xujiea,was first collected from greyish-yellow mudstone of Nihewan Formation(Q_I) of Hutoulin,Nihewan Basinof Yangyuang,Hebei Province and filled in the gaps in the fossil ofQuaternary insect in China.New genus,Xujiea,described in the present paper is based on a si-ngle but complete specimen with the ventral body and a right forewing.It is very interesting as it presents a number of foratures,some of whichhave hitherto been unknown to the quaternary forms.This may help usto trace the early quternary features and evolutionary history of the fa-mily,pyrrhocoridae.The type of the new genus is preserved in Geological Museum of Ge-ological Bureau of Jiangsu Province.更多还原
