【Abstract】 In the present paper the important morphological characters of the leptocephali and the elver of Cirrhimuraena chinensis Kaup. are described. The speciemens were collected from the inshore water of Amoy Hay, Fajian, China, from May to June ia 1980.From the result of our rearing experiment it can he concluded that the metamorphosis of the elver is accomplished in about 15-25 days. As many as three stages of metamorphoses are discerned. The diagnostic features for each of them are described. The diagnostic cha-racters of other ophichthid eels are discussed also.更多还原
