【Abstract】 A method, quickly digesting the materials to be analysed with KMnO₄-HNO₃-H₂SO₄,f ollowed by a cold vapor atom absorption for fast determ-ination of total mercury in marine animals, is described. The recoveryrate ranged from 70%-114%, averaged 93%; variation coefficiency is 18. 5%（n=8） and 11.0% （n=9） in the soft part of oysters and in flesh of jackmackerel respectively.This method is simple. with the dose required just insmall quantity.Therefore, it can be applied to the mass determination of mer-cury content in marine animals.更多还原
