【Abstract】 Histological and immunofluorescent examinations of the bovine pericardiumimplanted subcutaneously in rabbit showed that the glutaraldehyde-preserved pericar-dium could only induce less host cellular response and serum antibodies against thegraft than the fresh pericardium.This experimental result might explain that theglutaraldehyde could probably minimize,but not completely eliminate the antigenicityof the pericardium.lndirect immunofluorescent technique was used to detect the serum antibodiesof the patients who had been replaced valve with bovine pericardium bioprostheticvalve.The result showed that most patients had only a few serum antibodiesagainst the graft.The follow-up has led to the consideration that only a fewantibodies against the graft might not give effect to the function of bovine pericardialbioprosthesis.Ten pictures of histological and immunofluorescent evidence with English illust-rations are demonstrated in this article.更多还原
