掺质钆镓石榴石(Gd3-xCaxGa5-xZrxO12)单晶的生长与测试

【摘要】 本文对掺钙、锆的钆镓石榴石[简称GGG(Ca、Zr)]单晶的生长、完整性和组分过冷等作了观测研究。通过化学分析和X射线晶胞参数的测定,定出了熔体中CaO及ZrO2的分凝系数及晶体中组分对晶胞大小的影响,其目的是对生长掺钙、锆的钆镓石榴石单晶作比较详尽的研究,并找出掺质 GGG与纯GGG两种单晶在生长及某些性能上的异同。 实验结果表明,生长GGG(Ca,Zr)单晶对完整性的控制较纯GGG单晶难。也还表明掺质钆镓石榴石经辐照后较易产生色心。

【Abstract】 The article deals with the growth and perfection of single crystals GGG doped with cal-cium and zirconium [called GGG(Ca, Zr) for short] and the phenomena of its constitutionalsupercooling.By chemical analysis and X-ray lattice parameter determination of the growncrystals, the segregation coefficients of CaO and ZrO2 from the melt and the influences ofCaO and ZrO2 contents on the lattice parameter of the crystal have been determined. Inthe meantime, the similarities and differences in the growth and some of the propertiesof the single crystals of pure and doped GGG have been found out. Experimental results not only show that, during the growth, the control of perfection ofGGG(Ca, Zr) single crystals is more difficult than that of pure GGG crystals but also indi-cate that doped GGG(Ca, Zr) are liable to produce colour center after irradiation.
