【Abstract】 Through theoretical calculation and experimental studies for the false twisting effects of spiralgrooved jet separator in rotor spinning unit, a mathematical and physical relationship between tension and false twisting torque of yarn has been arrived at in this article.As OE yarn rotating on the separator jet, the twisting density is strengthened by the effect of false twisting torque created by the spiral groove friction.From the results of the experiments and production, the favourable false twisting effect have been confirmed, so that the end breakage can be decreased sufficiently to produce low twist OE yarn.The author presents a view that the false twisting torque can be referred to as a teal false twisting effect obtained from the sliver twisted in twisting tube.
