【Abstract】 The roving tension is measured by means of a strain gauge type Y6D-3A and an oscillograph model SC-16. On different type speed frames, various rovings are experimentally spun in large package with or without false twister at high speed.The following results have been obtained:1. The way of the fluctuation of the roving tension:ⅰ. The pulsating frequency of the spinning tension equals to the cycle frequency of the spindle. ⅱ. The spinning tension of the front row is always greater than that of the baekr ow. ⅲ. The fluctuation of the tension is in close relationship with the cone pulley profile, ⅳ. The spinning tension of man-made fiber roving is greater than that of the pure cotton roving, ⅴ. The spinning tension in large package is greater at high speed, ⅵ. The spinning tension is greater when the false twister is used. ⅶ. The tension is greater When the bobbin rail is at the mid position of its lift than at the top and bottom positions.2. The relationship between the semifinished product quality and the spinning tension.The roving and yarn quality will be spoilt when the false twister works unsatisfactory and if the tension difference between the front and the back rows for pure cotton rovings is large.更多还原
