【Abstract】 A pressure capillary rhemeter was used to measure the theological parameters of polynosic viscose solution. It was brought to light that the temperature of the viscose is an important factor affecting its rheological behavior; by raising the temperature of the viscose before spinning the rheological behavior could improved remarkably; it is a good method to raise the spinning speed of polynosic fiber. The result of experiments performed with a single spinneret spinning equipment proved this method to be feasible. If the viscose was preheated from 14℃ to 20℃ before spinning, the maximum speed of first godet could be raised from 12 m/min to 18 m/min. The physico-mechanical properties of end product fiber spun at the speed of 38 m/min were approximately the same as those of the fibers obtained at low speed. This is in line with the fact that the fiber produced in summer will have better properties.A static mixing heater was used in conducting the experiments. It was shown that heaters of this type can meet the requirement of preheating the viscose solution very quickly before spinning with good effect and are easy to operate.
