安徽黄山第四纪冰川遗迹
THE QUATERNARY GLACIATION ON MT. HUANGSHAN
【摘要】 <正> 1977年8月,我们曾随同北京科学教育电影制片厂的《李四光与中国第四纪冰川》科教片摄制组,赴黄山采访。在安徽省地质局332地质队的大力协助下,于较短的时间内,不仅察勘和拍摄了那些早已被著名地质学家李四光教授精辟论述过的黄山典型冰川遗迹,同时也获得了一些新的第四纪冰川遗迹资料。更确切地说,这些资料只能是对李四光教授“安徽黄山更新世冰川现象之确据”一文的某些补充材料。
【Abstract】 As a result of Quaternary glacial plucking and polishing Mt. Huangshan became unusually lofty and perilous. The discovery of several glacial grooves-convincing evidence for glaciers on Mt. Huangshan-in 1936 by Prof. J. S. Lee spurred him to publish one of his classical papers"Quaternary glaciations in the Lushan area, central China", that laid a solid foundation for the study of Quaternary glaciers in China. The Quaternary glacial landforms and moraines, spread in some famous mountains in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, such as Jiuhuashan, Dabeishan and Tianmushan, are generally of similar types of glaciers to that in Huangshan, but elsewhere they do not as concentrically develop as in Huangshan, where the main glacial landforms concentrate in about 10 square kilometers. The main glacial landforms hi Huangshan mountains (the front part)include the Tiandoufeng-horn peak and four short glacially eroded hanging side valleys, running toward south and entering the main glacial valley-Xiaoyaoxi. A cascade falls down from the mouth of hanging valleys. Six to seven glacial grooves, ranging from 5 to 10 m. in length, were found at the left wall of Benshansi U-shaped valley. There are glacial erratic boulders andglacial mortars (potholes) in Xiaoyaoxi glacial valleys, and a terminal moraine,containing striated boulders, exists in its lower reach. The crest of the horn-peak Tiandoufeng gives a panoramic view of landforms of glacial erosion,developed on the south foot of Mt. Huangshan.
