【Abstract】 Experiment of energy cancellation by imitative sunning shows that all or most part of the initial thermoluminescence energy accumulated in quartz particles in eolian loess can be eliminated by sun light and the loess age can be determined by TL technique. A sample 1 meter beneath the baked bed taken from the Dongshuitou reservoir, Datong, Shanxi province gives age of 2.2±0.2×105 yrs. B.
