木材表面化学特征的ESR与ESCA分析
ESR AND ESCA INVESTIGATIONS ON THE CHARACTERISTICS OF WOOD SURFACES
【摘要】 用电子自旋共振波谱仪(ESR)和X—射线光电子能谱仪(ESCA)分析了经砂磨、紫外线幅射和浸提处理后木材表面化学特征的变化。结果表明:经过砂磨后,木材表面自由基含量增多,含氧官能团增多;在紫外光幅射下,木材表面自由基增加,但含氧官能基变化甚微;未经浸提的木材表面被脂肪酸所复盖。根据测试结果,对木材表面的机械化学反应和光氧化反应以及表面钝化的机制作了分析和讨论。
【Abstract】 An exposed wood surface is very complex in nature and many approaches have been made to it both in physics and chemistry.Recently the well-developed spectroscopy brings us many powerful methods to the studies of solid surfaces on molecular,atomic and even electronic levels.Since wood surface characteristics have many important bearings on wood bonding techniques and some other surface treatments,a better understanding of them might be advantageous to the elucidation of wood gluing mechanisms and the development of wood adhesives.Some ESR and ESCA investigations were carried on with a view to analyzing the effects of sanding,UV-irradiation and removal of extractives on the characteristics of wood surfaces.Free radical formation and decay on the newly created wood surfaces were detected by ESR spectrometer.ESCA studies revealed the chemical composition of wood surface layer changes after sanding.Removal of extractives was found very effective to the reactivation of wood surfaces.Some interpretations of those veriabilities occurring in wood surface layer under differet ambient conditions were reasoned out on the basis of the available data
