广东甘薯品种资源的研究
STUDIES ON THE GERMPLASM RESOURCES OF SWEET POTATO IN GUANGDONG PROVINCE
【摘要】 <正> 甘薯在广东栽培约有400年历史。由于地处热带和亚热带,不少品种可以自然开花结实。自然变异类型极多。再加上长期的人工选育,形成了种类繁多的地方品种。据1957年在51个县的普查结果,全省共有地方品种资源1,678份,居全国首位;其中,评为省的主要优良品种的共39个,是我国宝贵的甘薯遗传基因库。深入研究和利用这些品种资源,对提高甘薯新品种选育效果,有现实意义。
【Abstract】 In a survey of the resources involving 1, 678 specimens of sweet potatos in Guangdong Province, it was found that the general features of the sweet potato varieties in this province were as follows:1. The existance of several obviously different ecological-seasonai types, i. e. according to the different response to temperature and humidity, the varieties can be classified into 3 types, namely:(1) All-season (off-spring) type;(2) Autumn type;(3) Winter type;2. The habits of vegetative growth are various. They fall into 5 different plant types, among which the "B" type is a comparatively ideal high-yielding one. Based, on their performance in tuber production they may be classified as:(1) "Tuber-weight" type (according to the weight of individual tuber);(2) "Tuber-number" type (according to the number of tubers produced);(3) The intermediate type, this being a better type.A positive correlation exists between the number of big-sized tubers and the yield, which is an important target in the selection of a good variety.3. The existence of 4 different yield-quality groups of varieties, namely:(1)"High-yield-Low-quality" group;(2) "Medium-yield-High-quality" group;(3) "Medium-low-yield-Low-quality" group,(4) "Low-yield-High-quality" group.Not a single "High-yield-High-quality" variety has been found. The yield of fresh tubers is negatively correlated with the rate of the dried product. An obvious contradicton existed between yield and quality.4. Among the Guangdong varieties there are some that have good storage qualities and are resistant to the sweet potato epidemic caused by Pseudomonas batatae; but none has been found to be immune to pests."Yubei-baipi-baixin" and "Chaoshu No. 1" are good varieties of Guangdong province having the value for utilization and further improvemant.
