中国蔬菜作物的来历和变异
THE ORIGINS AND VARIATIONS OF VEGETABLE CROPS IN CHINA
【摘要】 <正> 我国领土辽阔,自然条件复杂,植物资源十分丰富;还从世界其它地区引入了多种作物加以驯化,更丰富了作物的种类。现在我国栽培的蔬菜作物大约有116个种,其中约57个种起源于我国。更由于我国的农业历史悠久,在这漫长的岁月中,蔬菜作物发生了很多变异,广大农民也积累了丰富的育种经验,又创造了许多亚种、变种、类型和品种。因此,中国蔬菜种质资源的丰富为世界上所罕见,并为世界蔬菜生产作出了一定的贡献。
【Abstract】 Vegetable crops grown in China include 116 plant species. The native species have been cultivated for more than3000 years, While foreign ones were introduced into China through various routes in different periods. Those originated from both Indo-Burma and Siam Malaya-Java Centers were introduced directly through the southern border since the ancient times. All those originated from Ethiopia, Iran (including Caucasus and Eastern Turkey), arid Afghanistan Centers, and some of those from Mediterrean Coast Center, as well as the cucumber from Indo-Burma Center, were introduced by way of Silk Road through the northern-west border 1800-2200 years ago. Those originated from all the centers in Eastern Hemisphere, and also the advanced forms of vegetables produced in Euroupe and America, were introduced by way of sea in the last 300 years. Different variations in most of tile native and long ago introduced species have occured in the past and many subspecies and varieties different from foreign ones have been produced in China with many morphological, ecological, seasonal and hybrid types. The numerous species of wide origins and their various variations made up the rich germplasm resources of vegetables in China.
