棉花隐性核基因雄性不育在杂交种中的应用
THE UTILIZATION OF MALE STERILE RECESSIVE GENES IN HYBRID SEED PRODUCTION OF COTTON(G.hirsutum L.)
【摘要】 <正> 早在1935年,印度在“百万棉”中就发现棉花雄性不育株。但是从利用杂种优势的角度来研究棉花雄性不育的利用价值,还是近二十年才开始的。美国、苏联、印度、巴西等国先后都有所报道。 国内从1972年开始也陆续发现和培育了一些棉花雄性不育材料。主要有“洞A”、“KK—1188—120A”、“KK—1188—119A”、“新海1号A”、“社A”、“广70—1”等。四川省棉花雄性不育杂种优势利用协作组对“洞A”雄性不育性状进行了初步的研究和遗传分析,认为其不育性状主要受一对隐性核基因的影响。
【Abstract】 A complete male sterile plant was found in a plot of a cultivated variety of upland cotton (G. hirsutum L.), Dong-ting l, at Yi-long, Szechwan in 1972. Genetic analysis of the male-sterile character in the male-sterile line, designated as Ms DongA, showed that the male-sterile expression is conditioned by a pair of homozygous recessive alleles at a single locus and could be heritable. It is easy to restore the fertility with commercial varieties.The sib-mating between the male-sterile plants and the male-fertile plants from same line (parents) produced F1 progenies with 50% male sterile plants and 50% fertile plants which could be used as A-line or B-line to produce hybrid seeds in cotton.473A, one of the derivatives from Dong-A male-sterile line × Shonl-170, has been used for female parents crossing with Kiangsu 203, 67—69, Heisan 1, respectively to produce hybrid seed for a large scale planting. Field tests for several years indicated that the heterosis of lint yields in the F1 population of 473A × Kiangen 203, 473A × 67—69, 473A × Heisan 1 three combining was 12.05—33.7 more than commercial varieties Damian 1 or 67—69, and they are also superior in fiber properties.
