【Abstract】 The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antiarrhythmic effect of Disopyramide. It is a new effective antiarrhythmic agent that has not yet been investigated extensively. The arrhythmias were induced by intravenous injection of barium chloride in conscious Rabbits. The present study clearly demonstrated that after intravenous administration of barium chloride in doses of 5mg/kg, the ventricular arrhythmias appeared in all experimental animals. The experimental arrhythmias were converted to sinus rhythm by disopyramide in 64% of experimental animals. At present, the mechanism of antiarrhythmic effect of Disopyramide is not clear, but it is characterized by producing quintdine like changes in the cardiac transmembranc potential.更多还原
