【Abstract】 Twenty cases of diabetic ketoacidosic and 2 cases of hyperosmolar nonketotic coma were treated with low-dose insulin,fluid and electrolyte,and antibiotics.Insulinwas administered intravenously in 15 cases,in which the ketoacidosis was all corrected.In the 10 patients without acute infection,the hyperglycemia and ketosis were correctedrather rapidly;the mean time that blood glucose lowered to≤250mg/dl was 3.80±1.15 hr,and that ketosis corrected was 5.45±3.64 hr.The results indicate that low-dose insulin by intravenous injection is a simple,effective and safe method of treat-ment for diabetic ketoacidosis,particularly for patients complicated with dehydrationor hypotension.更多还原
