电流分布对直圆柱等离子体不稳定性发展率的影响
THE EFFECTS OF CURRENT DISTRIBUTIONS ON THEMHD INSTABILITY GROWTH RATES OF ACYLINDRICAL PLASMA
【摘要】 本文的结果是:在直圆柱等离子体的情形,提高βp并未使扭曲模不稳定性变得更坏。对m=1的扰动,趋中心的轴向电流分布比起较平坦的分布来说不稳定性发展率要大,即稳定性反而变坏。当m=2时,情况正相反,这和文献[1,8]的结果一致。计算结果表明,角向电流的不同分布对不稳定性发展率的影响不大。
【Abstract】 In this paper the ideal MHD instability growth rate w of a cylindrical plasma for the surface kink mode is calculated by Galerkin’s method under the assumption that and, and an analytical relation be-tween w2 and the parameters (nqα, m, K, a/b, s, P, βp) is found, where n, m, K are wave numbers, qα is the safety factor, a/b the ratio of the plasma radius to the conducting wall radius, βp the poloidal beta.The conclusions are:1. The effect of s: The result for m - 2 is in agreement with the conclusion of other authors, that is the peak instability growth rate wpeak with an axial current distribution concentrated near the axis is smaller than the one with a flatter current distribution; on the contrary for m=1, either βp=1 or βp=3, the former is greater than the latter.2. The effect of P: When βp=3, the wpeak for P=5 is slightly greater than the one for P=l.3. The effect of $P: When βp increases from 1 to 3, the wpeak nearly remains constant, therefore it is permissible to have higher βp.
