【Abstract】 Changsha Institute of Mining Research is a research organ established by the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, with the task of solving the major scientific and technical problems in the production and construction of mines. According to the author, the research effort has been properly orientated and programs are based on problems emerging from current mine practice. The Institute has made significant achievements in the last 25 years, although not without twists and turns.The author reviewed the historical development 6f the Institute, in the aspects of research programs, technical lines, organization and control of research work in different periods.He gave a clear picture for the main achievements made by the Institute in developing mining science and technology and in promoting mineral produc- tion in this country. The paper covered briefly the present status of the Institute and suggested what should be done in order to serve the mines better.更多还原
