叶蜡石石棉在我国的发现

【摘要】 <正> 叶蜡石常呈致密块状(如我国著名的寿山石)或片状产出;石棉状的叶蜡石,在我国尚属首次发现。1980年5月,我们在广西德保县发现了此种矿物,经矿物学研究和性能试验表明,它有优良的耐腐蚀性和耐热性,并在某些方面优于温石棉(蛇纹石石棉)和蓝石棉,是一种新的优质石棉材料。

【Abstract】 A fibrous pyrophyllite, pyrophyllite-asbestos as is called in this paper, was discovered in Permian, coal-series strata in 1976 in Guangxi, China. Associated with minor amounts of pyrite and dickite, it occurs as stringers, 1—2cm in width and parallel to the stratification, in mud stones in both the hanging and foot walls of anthracite. The agregates consist of cross-fiber and slantfiber measured 6—10mm long and 5—10mm across. The fiber is colorless and is of silky luster. It is biaxially negative, with refrative indices determined in air: Ng=1.597, Nm=1.587, Np=1.553, Ng-Np=0.054, 2V=57°(obs.). Perfect cleavage(001) is observed under electromicroscope. Specific gravity is 2;816 as determined with specific gravity bottle. It feels greasy, non-magnetic, and is resistant to acids, alkalies and heat. It has the formula of [(K0.01Na0.01Ca0.01)0.03 (Al1.99Mg0.01)2.00]2.03[(Si3.97Al0.034O10](OH1.83F0.01Cl0.01)1.85 based on chemical analyses. It belongs to the monoclinic system, 2M1 type. Unit-cell parameters are: a0=5.166, b0=8.949, c0=18.782, β=100.45°, V=854.916, Z=4. Chemical analysis, X-ray powder pattern, DTA, infrared absorption Spectra and scanning electron photomicrographs are also given. It is considered as a new type and no perceptible correlation is expected between its genesis and magmatism.
