ON ROTATION OF THE SUN BEFORE THE MAUNDER MINIMUM

【摘要】 <正> Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION In this paper the aurora borealis data from 1535 to 1625 have been used to derive the period of reappearance of auroras. We reached the conclusion that the rate of solar rotation before the Maunder minimum was the same as the present one. This is in contradiction with the result obtained by Eddy et al..
