激光照排机的扫描控制方式和版面形成

【摘要】 滚筒式激光照排机采用逐线扫描的方式,当滚筒旋转扫描时,带有激光头的丝杠以均匀速度不停地平移。通常的办法是在开始扫描前把一页版面的点阵信息(约73M位)全部存储在磁盘上,这种做法使系统开销增加和速度降低。本文叙述一种新的方法,只需交替的8线缓冲(2×56160位),便能高速输出任何复杂的版面。我们采用软、硬件紧密结合的技术,由软件提供一种刻划版面的编辑信息,照排控制机接受此信息后分段生成汉字点阵和形成版面。

【Abstract】 In the drum type laser typesetter, the screw with laser beam heads moves continuously when the drum is rotating and the film is scanned line by line. Conventional schemes put the dot information of an entire page (about 73M bits) onto the disc before the scanning begins and this will inevitably increase system overhead and limit the typesetting speed. This paper describes a new method which can output any complex page layout at high speed with only two alternate buffers of 8 scan lines (2×56160 bits). Using hardware-software integrate4 design techniques, a suitable representation of the page layout is generated by software and this information is received by the typesetting controller to generate Chinese character dot matrix and form various complex page layouts.
