【Abstract】 The reports on blood lipid of hypertension remain still not unanimous.The plasmacholesterol(CH)and triglyceride(TG)were determined in 459 patients of hypertensionout of 10624 persons from a factory.In the meantime 1229 healthy people and 77with coronary heart disease had also the same measurements taken.The result is that the blood CH and TG of the hypertension group were bothelevated higher than those of the group of healthy people.The difference is significant(“p”less than 0.01).The plasma lipid of the coronary heart disease group and coronaryheart disease complicated with hypertension group were also apparently higher than thatof the normal group.But there were no significant differences among these three groups(“p”greater than 0.05)except that the plasma CH of the coronary heart diseasegroup was much higher than that of the hypertension group(“p”less than 0.05).According to this investigation the normal limits of CH and TG were 207 mg%and 173 mg% respectively.Hyperlipidemia refers to the elevation of plasma CH and/orTG levels beyond these normal limits.Among the 593 patients in these three groups315 had hyperlipidemia.The incidence of hyperlipidemia of each group was 49.1%(hypertension),67.5%(coronary heart disease)and 66.6%(coronary with hyper-tension).The incidence in the healthy group was 15.3%,which was obviously lowerthan the three other groups.The incidence of hyperlipidemia among these threegroups remained not significantly different(“p”greater than 0.05),except that theCH of the coronary heart disease group was higher than that of the hypertensiongroup(“p”less than 0.05).This material reveals that the plasma CH and TG of hypertension cases werehigher than of healthy people.About 50% of the patients of hypertension hadhyperlipidemia,so it was not uncommon.Both hypertension and hyperlipidemia aremajor risk factors for atherosclerosis.Thus,to control hyperlipidemia and to curehypertension are both important in order to prevent and delay the development ofcoronary heart disease.更多还原
