【Abstract】 A clinical and fundamental study of a new serum antigen(XR antigen)wasperformed.The sera from 2490 patients or controls were tested for the presence ofthe antigen by immuno-diffusion test.It was detected with fulminant hepatitis,hepatic cancer and with hepatic cirrhosis.It was rarely detected in patients withnonhepatic diseases and control subjects.The XR antigen of the patient’s sera and liver specimen was firstly and succ-essfully obtained by serial purifying procedures as follows:Extracentrifugation,KBrdensity gradients,Zonal centrifugation.The physiochemical properties of XR antigen were studied with purified materi-als,XR antigen has a density of 1.096gm/cm~3.The particles of the purified XR-antigen were spherical in shape and variable insize about 10-70nm in diameter.更多还原
