【Abstract】 Mougeotiopsis is a monotypic genus under Zygnemataceae. The present report is the first record of its distribution in China. It adds one more genus not only to the generic number of Zygnemataceae in China but also to that in Asia.The specimens were collected from Tainin, Fujian, China. It is charaterized by having its vegetative cells varying from 10-11μ. wide,the smallest diameter that has so far been reported for the species. Each cell bears a single, axile, quadrate, ptatlike chromatophore which has thickened, minutly granulated edges.Edges of the chromatophore sometimes are inrolled; no pyrenoid presents, but oil globules are visible on the surface. Conjugation is scalariform. The median wall of zygospore is thickened and deeply scrobiculate.更多还原
