【Abstract】 This paper presents descrions of two new cainsnes 01 the ramily AKy-sidae from southern part of Yunnan Province, China. A breif review of the family and a tentative key to species of the genus Akysis are also given. Akysis sinesis He, sp. nov. (Fig. 1 )Syntypcs: 4 specimens, No. 638237, 638283, are kept in the Institute of Hydrobiology, Academia Sinica. Standard length 46, 47.5 mm. Collected in Lancang Jiang, Xishuangbanna Daizu Zizhizhou, Yunnan Province, China, No. 735007, 735008, standard length 62, 66 mm. are kept in the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica from the same locality as the above ones.D. I, 5; P. I, 6 -7; V. 1, 5; A. 3, 6 - 7 ; C. 15-16.Head 4.3 (4.2-4.4) times in standard length; depth 5.0 (4.6-5.2); length of caudal peduncle 5.4 (5.3-5.5); depth of caudel peduncle 14.5(13.6 -15.0). Snout 2.9 (2.8-3.0) in head; eye 18.3; interorbital space 2.8. Depth of caudal peduncle 2.6-2.7 in its length. 6-9 denticles on posterior edge of the pectoral spine. Nasal barbel 2.2 in head. Caudal fin forked, shortest rays 1.7-1.8 in its longest rays.The new species differs from Akysis armatus Vaillant in its shorther nasal barbels, and in the denticles on the posterior edge of pectoral spine being shorter than the breadth of this spine. Besides, the caudal fin is forked instead of being emarginate in other cogeneric forms.Akysis brachybarbatus Chen, sp. nov. (Fig. 2 )Holotype: No. 787162} standard length 36 mm; from Nanrui River of Manglian county, flowing into the Mekong River.Paratypes: 26 specimens, standard length 35-45 mm, from Menglian county and the Buyuan River of Mengla county, flowing into the Lancang River, All the type specimens are kept in the Kunming institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica.D. Depth of caudal peduncle 2.4 (2.1-2.8) in its length. Snout 2.5 (2.4-2.7) in head;interobital space 2.5 (2.1-2.9).This new species closes to Akysis maculipinnis Fowler from which it can be easily distinguished by the shorter nasal barbels not reaching to the posterior margin of operculum and by the longer adipose base being 1,2 (versus 1.0) times as long as the dorsal base.更多还原
