【Abstract】 The Superficial arteries of the spinal cord were observed in 50 cadavers (adults 6, children 39, fetuses5).1 . Origins of the anterior spinal arteries were grouped into 4 types by their branch number. Monobranch type was seen in 12.00%, bibranch in 80.00%, tribranch in 6.00%, and quadribranch in 2.00%.2 . 68.89% of 45 cases of the posterior spinal artery arises from the vertebral artery, 27.78% arises from the posterior inferior cerebellar arterj,.3. The number of anterior radicular arteries averages 5.5 (2-15) . The great anterior radicular artery (of Adamkiewicz) arises from 7th thoracic to 3rd lumbar levels, most frequently from 9th thoracic; 78% of them come from the left side. The artery of cervical enlargement locates between the 4th cervical to 4th thoracic segments, most of them locates at the 8th cervical segment, more often on the left than on the right.4.
