【Abstract】 This paper reported 199 cases of retropubic prostectomy with combined longitudinal incision of prostatic capsule and bladder neck from 1956-Aug.1979.No operative mortality occurred.The main complications included:5 cases of early bleeding and 22 cases of secondary hemorrhage (11%); 38 cases of leakege of urine from the incisional wound (9.0%); 12 cases of difficulty of urination after operation (6.0%); 9 cases of incontinence of urination; 33 cases of wound infection (16.6%); no single case of osteamyelitis of os pubis was noted.This paper essentially discussed the method to reduce hemorrhage during and after operation.We divided the postoperative hemorrhage into early and secondary stages,its causes and methods of management were discussed.Since Sept.1976 we have used a removable purse-string suture arround the bladder neck,a method advocated by Dr.Xing professor of uro logy.This method has proved to be an effective measure for preventing early hemorrhage after operation.更多还原
