【Abstract】 This article reports stress fractures of the radial shaft, femoral neck and middle third of the tibia. Case 1: Girl, six Years old, began to have aching in the left hip after a fall from the stall bars, but she was able to participate in normal exercises. After two months, limping was noted. Physical examination revealed limitation of the left hip motion and the left lower limb was 1 cm. shorter than the right one. X-ray revealed resolving stress fracture of the femoral neck. Internal fixation with three Kirscher wires was performed.Seven months later, the fracture healed. Case 2:Girl, eight years old, began to have pain in the right forearm while receiving one year of gymnastic training. A sudden increase in pain occurred and elicited a click during back handspring training. Physical examination revealed swelling of the right forearm and marked tenderness. X-ray demonstreted a fracture at the junction of the middle and lower thirds of the radius with marked periosteal resorption and volar anglulation at the fracture site. A splint was applied. Six months later, she began normal training. Case 3: Boy, fifteen years old, began to have aching pain in the right leg during one year of running. On physical examination, he was found to have tenderness at the middle third of the leg, with swelling. X-ray demostrated periosteal thickening at the middle third of the tibia. There was a"V" shaped lesion. Pathological section of the tissue removed was proved to be stress fracture. The fracture healed after restrainig exercises for two years. Case 4: Man, twenty-four years old, began to have pain and swelling in the right leg for two years. X-ray of the middle third of the right tibia showed"V" shaped lesion. The lesion was removed, but recurred. Followed for two years, not yet healed.更多还原
