【Abstract】 Large single crystals of zinc niobium （Zn₃Nb₂O₈）have been grown by pulling method froma melts.The melting point of the congruent compound has been determined to be 1308℃. TheX-ray study showed Zn₃Nb₂O₈ to have orthorhombic symmetry with lattice parameters a=19.048A, b=5.901A, c=5.194A. Other determinations made are: density d=5.731g/cm₃, elasticconstants C₁₁^E=1.35×10¹¹N/m², C₂₂^E=1.28×10¹¹N/m², C₃₃^E=1.12×10¹¹N/m² and dielectric constantsε₁₁^T=32,ε₂₂^T=21,ε₃₃^T=16.更多还原
