【Abstract】 Stylotermes Chengduensis Gao et Zhu, sp. nov.This new species resembles closely with Stylotermes sinensis ( Yu et Ping ) but differs from it as follows.1 , Head distinctly larger, larger, length of head without mandibles usually longer than 2.50 mm.;2, Pronotum without distinct middle longitudinal line, most of the posterior margin without distinct emarginate in middle ;3 , Mandibles stout, outer margin of mandibles smooth and straight.Type locality, soldiers, workers and nymphs, Sichuan. Chengdu, collected by D. R . Gao, Xll, 22, 1978, in a dead portion of living tree. Ginkgo biloba L.Holotype: Soldier and worer, deposited in the Shanghai Institute of Entomology.
