【Abstract】 During Aug.-Oct. 1977, we made a survey of freshwater crabs in GuangxiZhuang Autonomous Region. There are one new record and 5 new species among thematerials. The salient features of the new species are given below. The type specimens are kept in the Institute of Zoology, Academa Sinica. Potamidae Potamon flexum sp. nov. (Pl.Ⅰ: 1; fig. 1) Holotype: ?, allotype: ? (juv.), paratype: 9?? (1 juv.) 1? (juv.), Napo County,Sept. 16, 1977. Epibranchial tooth inconspicuous, almost obsolete. Anterior half of the cervicalgroove shallower than posterior half. Exopod of the third maxilliped with a slenderflagellum. Distal segment of the first pleopod much bent to outer ventral side. Remarks: The first pleopod of this new species is more bent than those of knownspecies of Potamon, Potamiscus and other related genera in Potamidae. Tiwaripotamon depressum sp. nov. (Pl.Ⅰ: 2; fig. 2) Holotype: ?, allotype: ? (juv.), Pingguo County, Sept. 28, 1977; paratype:6 ? (2 juv.) 9 ? (5 juv.), Pingguo County, Sept. 28, 1977; 7 ? (2 juv.) 3? (1juv.), Longlin County, Sept. 6, 1977; 1?, Napo County, Sept. 18, 1977. Remarks: This new species is closely related to T. beusekomae Bott, 1970 fromThailand, but the carapace and ambulatory legs of the new species are devoid of hairs, the cervical groove is shallower, and the first pleopod is comparatively slender. Tiwaripotamon glabrum sp. nov. (Pl.Ⅰ: 3; fig. 3) Holotype: ?, allotype: ?; Jingxi County, Sept. 20, 1977; paratype: 2? (1 juv.)8 ?(4 juv.), Jingxi County, Sept. 20, 1977, 3?(1 juv.) 1? (juv.), Du’anCounty July 1977. Carapace glabrous, the breadth 1.6 times the depth, with a notch between the epi-branchial tooth and the other orbital angle. Anterior lateral margin smooth. Firstpleopod slender. Remarks: This new species is clasely related to T. artifrons (Burger 1894), butdiffers from the latter in the distal segment of the first pleopod not much curved, butacute. Isolapotamidae Malayopotamon gracilipa sp. nov. (Pl.Ⅰ: 4; fig. 4) Holotype: ?, allotype: ?, paratype: 8? (7 juv.) 1? (juv.), Zhaoping County,Nov. 19, 1977. Frontal lobes and post-orbital crests prominent Exopod of the third maxillipedwith a flagellum. First pleopod tapering to the end. Remarks: The new species is close to M. brevimarginatum brevimarginatum (deMan 1892) in the morphology of the first pleopod, but in the new species, theepibranchial teeth are much obtused, the apical part of the distal segment of the firstpleopod is more slender, and the 7th segment of abdomen is comparatively longer. Isolapotamon aflagellum sp. nov. (Pl.Ⅰ: 5; fig. 5) Holotype: ?, allotype: ?, paratype: 22? (7 juv.) 14? (13 juv.), ZhaopingCounty, Oct. 20, 1977. Frontal lobes and post-orbital crests sharper. Epibranchial tooth acute. Exopod ofthird maxiliped without flagellum. Remarks: The new species is characterized by the absence of a flagellum on theexopod of third maxilliped. The third maxillipeds of 8 out of the 11 known species in Isolopotamon are provided with flagella, while those of I. kinabaluense (Rathbun 1904),I. mindanoense (Rathbun 1904) and I. sinuatifrons (H. Milne-Edwards 1853) are notdealt with in the original descriptions. From the latter three species the new speciesmay be distinguishable by the first pleopod, the distal segment of which is relativelyshorter and with a triangular protrusion toward the dorsal.
