【Abstract】 The present paper gives descriptons of three new species of chigger mites para-sitic on rodents and hisectivores from Yunnan, China. All type materials are deposit-ed in the Control and Research Institute of Epidemic Diseases of Yunnan Province.Herpetacarus (Herpetacarus) tengchongensis, sp. nov. (figs. 1-4)Idiosoma elongated oval, measuring 447-643μ in length and 272—454μ in great-est width. Galeala branched, formula of palpal setation B-B-BBB+7B.S, palpal claw3-forked. Scutum with anterior margin bisinuate, posterior margin rounded. Sen-sillae racket in shape. AL>PL>AM. Eyes 2+2. Dorsal setae 52-56 in number,arranged 2-8-8(9)-3(4)-10-9(10)-6-4(5)-2. Sternal setae 2 pairs. Ventral setae 84—87in number. Legs with solenidons as figured. Measurements of holotype: AW=67,PW=83, SB=29, ASB=40, PSB=25, SD=65, AP=40, AM=65, AL=90, PL=85, Sn=35×17, HS=80, Ip=971.Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) yunnanensis, sp. nov. (figs. 5-9)Body oval, length 284—584μ, width 208—441μ. Galeala branched, formula of pal-pal setation N-N-NNN+7B, palpal claw 3-forked. Scutum with biconcave anteriormargin and biconvex posterior margin. SB behind line of PLs. Sensillae with finebarbs along distal 2/3 and sparse serrations on proximal 1/3 of stem. Eyes 2+2. Dor-sal setae 56-67 in number, irregularly arranged: 4-13 (14,16,15)......, in holotype4-13-13-4-15-10-2=61. Ventral setae 52-66 in number. Sternal setae 2 pairs. Legs withsolenidions as figured. Measurements: AW=84, PW=102, SB=44, ASB=27, PSB=18,SD=45, AP=22, AM=75, AL=50, PL=67, Sn=82, HS=67, Ip=763.Gahrliepia (Gahrliepia) meridionalis, sp. nov. (figs. 10—13)Body oval, measuring 284—584μ in length and 208-441μ in greatest width.Formula of palpal setation B-B-NNb+4B, palpal claw 3-forked. Galeala branchedScutum elongate hexagonal in shape, with micropunctations and 6-7 PPL. Sensillaefusiform. Dorsal setae 36—47 in number, irregularly arranged: 2-4 (5,6,7)......,in holotype 2-4-7-8-6-4-4-2-2=39. Ventral setae 50-56 in number. Sternal setae 2 pairs.Legs with solenidions as figured.
