【Abstract】 Twenty cases of gastric carcinoma were studied under electron microscope. In our specimens, we observed several types of cancer cells including undi-fferentiated cell, carcinoma cells of mucus cell, crypt columnar cell, absorptive epithelium, chief cell and parietal cell type, and described the ulrtastructural features of every type with various differentiation. Different types of carcinoma cells from low to high defferentiation disclose more or less the structural characteristics of normal gastric glandular cells or meta- plastic intestinal epethelium and are sometimes present in the same case. Undifferentiated carcinoma observed in H. E. sections consist mainly of undifferentiated cells and mucoid cells of low differentiation under electon microscope, some of adenocarcinoma are made up of cancer cells of inte-stinal epitnelial type, while others those of gastric glandular type.Carcinoma cells of crypt columnar cell type are the commonest elements in less differentiated adenocarcinoma. Tumor cells of absorptive epitheleal type are more numerous in well differentiated adenocarcinoma. That intercellular junctions are rare among undifferentiated and slightly differentiated carcinoma cells is one of the factors accounting for their liability of infiltration and metastasis.更多还原
