乳牛蕨类植物“Pteridium aquilinum”中毒

【摘要】 <正> 牛蕨类植物中毒(Bracken Poisoning)首由n M.Starrar氏(1893)报导于英格兰,至1917年S.Stockman氏人工饲喂试验获得成功,更确证蕨类植物的毒性。其后,世界各高寒阴湿山地均屡见不解,国内则尚无正式报导。本病具有特异之临床症候群及剖检变状,为一般中毒性疾病所罕见,且与某些急性传染病颇易混淆,尚无特效疗法,发病后多转归死亡,故将60年夏秋间我校马马坪山地牧场乳牛群的发病情况简要报导如下。

【Abstract】 This paper deals with an outbreak of bracken poisoning in a dairy herd. The catties had been grazing the fresh bracken (Pteridium aquilinum [L] Kuhn) mainly on the month May to July. 28 of 36 catties had been poisoned (morbidity rate: 278%), 19 of poison died (mortality: 68%). Clinical signs involved high fever (40.0~41.7℃), abdominal pain, haemorrhagic diathesis. In acute cases death took place no more than 2 days, while in chronic cases died over 1 month. Haematological findings of 23 cases were most characteristic. The total leucocytes count decreased to 5,000/cmm (the lowest been 1,150/cmm). The differential count indicated that the neutrophiles decreases markedly and the lymphocytes increased around 80~90% in most cases. The bloodplates showed a pronounced reduction (200,000 ~100,000/cmm). The haematological findings were closely related with the clinical symptoms. Postmortem changes (13 case) characterized by the extensive haemorrhages throughout the subcutis, mucous membrane, serous membrane, musculature and the parenchymatous organs. Histological found hepatic degeneration and centrilobular necrosis. The red bone marrow greyish tint. Hemocytoblasts, erythroblasts and myelocytes reduced markedly. Megakarytocytes lost at all. Treatment with calcium, vit. K, and vit. B preparations and other symptomatic treatments without effects, while blood transfusion in small doses continuously combined with hematopoietics might be of some value in light cases. Biotics and sulfa drugs might helps the secondary infections, but not for the radical cure.
