【Abstract】 The Weishan-,Chaoyang-,Tushan- and Nanyang lakes are commonly called Nan-Sze-Hu(the Four-Southern-Lakes)of Shantung.They are the most important fresh water fishery grounds and the chief fish farms of Shan- tung as well.Their ichthyological fauna has not yet been studied.During the summer of 1957,and during the spring and autumn of 1959,the authors msde a systematic survey of the fish fauna of these lakes.Some of their ecological habits Were also considered. We find 70 species(including subspecies)of fishes in these lakes.They belong to 47 genea and 15 families.Of them 23 species and subspecies have not been reported in Shantung.They are namely:Salangichthys microdon, Atrilinea chenchiwei.Paraleucogobio notacanthus,Sarcocheilichthys lacustris, Saurogobio productus,Erythroculter dabryi,E.oxycephalus,Parapelicus nicholsi,P.argenteus,Toxabramis hoffman,T.swinhonis,Hemiculter kneri,Acanthorhodeus guichenoti,Acheilognathus chankaensis,Parasilurus mento,P.asotus,Pseudobagrus intermedius,Leiocassis crassirostris,Aoris henryi,Anguilla japoniea,Hyporhamphus intermdius,Hypselectris einctus and Rhinogobius leavelli. The most common economic fishes are:Canasius,Hemiculter,Erythroculter, Cyprinus,Parabramis,Ophiocephalus,Sinrpeica,etc. The yield of the Carasius is in the first order and both the Erythro- culter and the Hemiculter come next.更多还原
