东亚飞蝗Locusta migratoria manilensis(Meyen)二型生物学特性的初步研究

【摘要】 本文是研究东亚飞蝗二型生物学特性的一部分报导,目的在于通过二型生物学特性的比较,阐明二型在种群数量变动上的某些特点。实验结果指出:1.散居型飞蝗的发育速度大于群居型。低密度虫群的成活率亦高于高密度虫群。2.散居型成虫产卵量高于群居型,其卵小管数目也比后者稍多。3.若以食物吸收量与取食量的干重比例为指标,则散居型食物利用系数低于群居型。4.群居型体内水分含量比散居型低,但脂肪含量则比散居型高,实测结果前者的耐寒性比后者略强。此外,本文还简单讨论了二型的上述特性差异在飞蝗猖獗学上的意义。

【Abstract】 The present paper deals with the biological characteristics of the oriental migratorylocust (Locusta migratoria manilensis (Meyen) ) in different phases. The results fromthis investigation show that the biological characteristics of this species in the two phasesare remarkably different. These differences may be summarized as follows: 1. The developmental rate and the percentage of survival of the phase solitariawere greater than those of the phase gregaria. 2. The fecundity of the phase solitaria was higher than that of the phase gregaria,and the ovaries of the former had a greater number of ovarioles. 3. The phase gregaria had a larger coefficient of food assimilation, which is theratio of the amount of food absorbed to the amount of the food eaten, both measured indry weights in the adult stage. 4. The water content in the body of the phase solitaria was larger than that ofthe phase gregaria, but the fat content of the former was larger than that of the latter.Consequently, the phase gregaria was more cold-hardy. Finally, the problem of the phase transformation related to the periodicity of locustoutbreaks was also briefly discussed.
