【Abstract】 1. The present paper reports a preliminary survey of trombiculid mite of rats inChungking, Szechuan, during the year 1957. 2. The infection rate of trombiculid mite in Rattus norvegicus and Rattus flavipectuswas 30.85% and 4.31% respectively. 3. The seasonal distribution of Odontacarus yosanoi was observed. They began toappear from May, reached a peak in June and disappeared in August. 4. A total of 777 larval specimens were examined. Two species were identified:Odontacarus yosanoi Fukuzumi et Obata, 1953 and Gahrliepia (Gahrliepia) chungking-ensis sp. n. 5. Gahrliepia (G.) chungkingensis is a new species and a morphological descrip-tion is given. The species is similar to G. (G.) yangchenensis Chen et Hsu, 1957 andG. (G.) mirabilis Schluger et al., 1960, but it is different from them in the followingpoints: (1) its standard measurements. (2) a much greater number of body setae, legsetae and palpal setae. 6. The subgenus Gahrliepia is discussed and a key of 6 known species of this sub-genus in China was prepared.更多还原
