【Abstract】 In this paper the author reported his studies on the structures of Johnston’sorgans of Mecopoda elongata and Chrysomya megacephala; at the same time other sense organs in the basal part of the antennae were also described. In the antennae of Mecopoda elongata there are four chordotonal organs:two in scape, one in pedicel and one attached to the basal part of the third(antennal) segment. The Johnston’s organ consists of about 50 scolopidia ar-ranged in the form of a ring just interior to the epithllium of the pedicel.Except these two kinds of organs, we found also about 15 companiform sen-sillae which are situated in the neighbourhood of the articular membrane between-the pedicel and the third segment of the antenna. The Johnston’s organ of Chrysomya megacephala is composed of about 50scolopidia which occupy nearly all the space within the pedicel. Neither chordo-tonal organs nor sensilla campaniformia were found.更多还原
