【Abstract】 Anion exchange resin in the hydroxy form was successfully used as a catalyst in the reaction of methyl vinyl ketone and alcohols to furnish ethers of 4-hydroxybutanone-[2]. Some aliphatic, aromatic, cyclic, and heterocyclic alcohols were used. The method was shown to provide a simple preparative route to such ketoethers. Seven ethers of 4-hydro-xybutanone-[2] were prepared and their physical constants determined. Some of the products had been used previously as intermediates in the synthesis of Vitamin A ethers.更多还原
