【Abstract】 For the preparation of cholecystographic substances, we synthesized α-ethyl-m-aminocinnamic acid (VII) from α-ethyl-m-nitro-cinnamic acid (VI) by reduction (1) with ferrous sulfate, and (2) with hydrogen snlfide. Both methods of reduction gave good yield.2, 4, 6-Trichloro-, 2, 4, 6-tribromo-, and 2,4,6-triiodo-compounds were prepared by halogenation of α-ethyl-m-aminocinnamic acid (VII). The 3-acetamido-and 3-butyroamino-derivatives of these throe compounds as well as those of a-ethyl-m-aminocinnamic acid were also prepared.The toxicological and clinical studies of α-ethyl-2, 4, 6-tribromo-and α-ethyl-2, 4, 6-triiodo-3-aminocinnamic acids have been carried out with satisfactory results and will be reported elsewhere.更多还原
