四川新陆栖寡毛类记述
AN ACCOUNT OF SOME NEW TERRESTRIAL OLIGOCHAETES FROM SICHUAN
【Abstract】 The earthworm fauna of Mt. Omei had been investigated by Gates (1935),and Chen (1931, 1936, 1946). In the spring of 1963, we made another survey andcollected a. number of species, of which three are considered as new to science. Typespecimens are deposited in the Department of Biology, Sichuan University.1. Pheretima exilens Zhong et Ma, sp. nov. Type 68mm long, 3.5mm wide, 97 segments. 1/2 epilobus. 1st dorsal pore in12/13. Color greyish in formalin. Clitellum entire, with setae ventrally. Setae fine and close, evenly distributed, 50/III, 64/VII, 64/IX, 54/XX, 11 be-tween pores. Male pores on ventro-lateral side of xviii, each on flat-topped papilla and a si-milar one nearby, also on xvii and xiv postsetally in line vith pore (fig. 1A).Spermathecal pores 4 pairs, intersegmental in 5/6--8/9, a pair of papillae postsetalon VIII. Septa 8/9, 9/10 absent. Caeca simple. Testis sacs all small and widely placed.Seminal vesicle elongate, 1.5 mm with dorsal. lobe. Prostates rarely developed, con-fined in xviii, xix, if present. Accessory glands racemose with short ductule. Sper-mathecae all vestigial (fig. 1 B) except in one case where the crooked seminal cham-ber is present (fig. 1 C). Type: A31 (2a); Apr. 21, 1963; Mt. Omei. Remarks The present species is similar to Ph. exilis in the shape of diverticu-lum and the arrangemeat of papillae, but may be distinguished from the latter bythe presence of four pairs of spermathecal pores on 5/6--8/9 (Ph. exilis has only twopairs on 5/6--6/7). 2. Pheretima contingens Zhong et Ma, sp. nov. Type 64mm long, 3mm wide, segments 89. Prostomium 1/2 epilobous. 1st dor-sal pore in 11/12. Color greyish dorsally. Clitellum with setal pits only. Setae fine, close, even on anterior ventrum, 50/V, 56/VII, 58/IX, 55/XX; for-mula: 22(VI), 24(VII), 14(XVIII). Male pores on ventro-lateral side of xviii, each on a round porophore closely con-nected before and behind with a pear-shaped gland-pad (fig. 2A). Spermathecalpores 3 pairs, intersegmental in 6/7---8/9, ca. half of body circumference. No papil-la. Speta 8/9, 9/10 absent. Caeca palmate with 6--7 pointed pouches directed dor-sally, ventral 3 longest. Testis sacs small, ventral, each pair close but not communicated. Spermathecalampulla ovoid, diverticulum shorter than main pouch with a round seminal chamber(fig. 2B). Type: A9 (4a); April 18, 1936; Mt. Omei. Remarks It is similar to Ph. szechuancnsis, but setae on anterior ventrum fineand close, seminal chamber round, and size smaller.3. Pheretima daulis Zhong et Ma, sp. nov. Body 49--93 mm long, 2.5--3.5 mm wide, 61--105 segments (type: 75, 3.3, 87).Prostomium 1/2 epilobous. 1st dorsal pore in 4/5, occasionally in 11/12 or 12/13.Color light brownish. No setae on clitellum. Setae fine, close, even on anterior ventrum, 34/40/V, 36-48/VII, 40-44/XX;formula: 22--26(VII), 11--14(XVIII) [type: 38/V, 42/VI, 44/XX; 22 (VI), 24(VIII), 13 (XVIII)]. Male pores each on round or ellipsoid tubercle at ventro-lateral side of xviii, two gland-pads placed in front and behind of the porophore. A pair of papillaepostsetally on xvii (fig, 3A). Spermathecal pores 3 pairs, intersegmental in 6/7-8/9, ca. 1/2 of body circumference apart. Septa: 8/9 thin, 9/10 absent. Caeca with 4-5 small finger-shaped pouches onposterior dorsal half (fig. 3B). Testis-sace as transverse bands, anterior pair slightly V-shaped. Seminal vesicleslarge, rough on surface, no dorsal lobe; Prostate and accessory glands as usual. Sper-mathecal ampulla ca. 2mm long, diverticullum shorter, with ental club-shaped cham-ber (fig. 3C). Type: A71 (3a); 2 May, 1963; Mt. Omei. Remarks It is similar in many respects to Ph. szechuanensis, but differs fromthe latter by its first dorsal pore in 4/5, two gland-pads in front of and behind poro-phore, and also in the shape of the caeca.
