【Abstract】 Acetone powders were prepared from chosen parts of the digestive tract of the locust.Diluted glycerol extracts of the powders were allowed to react with potassium phenylsulfate buffered at pH 6.2 under specific conditions for one hour.The phenol liberated from the substrate was determined qualitatively and quantitatively by colorimetry according to the method of L.D. Abbott.Positive results were obtained. The phenylsulfatase activity was expressed as the ratio between the amount of the phenol liberated in milligrams and the volume of the enzyme solution taken in milliliters.更多还原
