【Abstract】 Pre-synaptic inhibition effect of electro-acpuncture upon the pain-sensitive cells in spinal trigeminal nucleus of the cat was found to be enhanced by electric stimulation of nucleus raphe magnus, the time course of inhibition being prolonged, whereas it was found to be attenuated by electric stimulation of locus coreulus, the time course of inhibition being shortened. The relation of effect between nucleus raphe magnus and locus coreulus to the pain relieving effect of acupuncture upon the discharges of spinal trigeminal nucleus was discussed.更多还原
